The LPGA Tour may have been left out of the $3 Billion merger between the PGA Tour, LIV Golf and the DP World Tour , but that never discouraged the association or the players from having the most fun. Lately, a $545 million hype has taken over Hollywood, bringing most girls’ childhood dreams to life, and one LPGA star just couldn’t resist.
It is not one of the established champions like Nelly Korda who fell into the trap, although golf diva Paige Spiranac, had her run at it. It is actually a rising star with one PGA tour win which just happened to be at a major tournament.
Allyson Corpuz shot to fame on the Ladies Professional Golfers Association circuit by claiming the title at the US Women’s Open at Pebble Beach this year. The 25-year-old golfer defeated many a big name including Nelly Korda who finished in T64, Charley Hull who came second, and even LPGA star, Rose Zhang who ended up in T9. Her loyal supporters were thrilled by her success and shared their hearty felicitations for the same.
Apart from her playful family, her friends, and long-time Marine boyfriend Daniel Eckstorm, have always been her strength. Therefore, it is no surprise that when the LPGA rising star wanted to jump on the $545 million Barbie bandwagon, they were right by her side. Her friend Aiko Leong, shared their pictures from their day out on her private profile with a Barbie-themed backdrop with a heart that read, “She’s Having the BEST DAY.”
The Barbie filter shows Allyson Corpuz and the love of her life hugging with the news of the movie’s release date at the bottom. Without wasting much time, the LPGA Major winner shared the story on her Instagram, tagging her beau and her friend with Aqua’s ‘Barbie Girl’ number to complete the scene.
She truly does appear very happy to have the pride and joy of the US Marine by her side.
Despite defeating some of the big names on the LPGA Tour, the maiden Major winner shows no vanity. Aside from the victory, what makes Allyson Corpuz such a fun-loving personality is her zest for life.
