His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II, the Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa in Osun State has described Israel as the most unique and well organised country on earth, enjoining Nigerians Leaders to emulate them.
The Monarch who made this known while sharing his experiences after his just concluded Pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Israel, explained that the journey to the country was another discovery for him as he was able to move round the land adding that the roads and and other infrastructures such as electricity, transportation and water are constant and in good condition, their security is very tight, urging Nigeria to borrow a leaf from them.
He said their electoral process is quite encouraging and such that is done without violence and hatred towards another political party.
Speaking on Christianity, the monarch who has deep knowledge about the bible noted that “being in Israel was like coming to town with practically everything I had come across and I realize that everything in the bible is true and unique. God is Almighty and awesome”
He boasted that the pilgrimage has helped him improve spiritually and increased his belief the more.
“I had a wonderful experience in Israel I realize that Israel was well organized country, very clean with very well built roads network and superbly organized tourists sector, Visitors are welcomed and properly taken care of and they have a company that practically take care of everything and they have preserved all the major tourists sites which are more like heritage sites for the country. Visitors are received globally throughout the year and everything is working fine, electricity is constant without any interruption, and the transportation system is good and that is understandable and I think that is what Nigerian should emulate for her citizens.
“They also have a way of doing their agricultural system, there is what they call green house system which is a desert area with very little land but they were able to grow what they need to eat.
” My journey to Israel was another kind of discovery. First of all, I was raised and brought up as a Christian and I’m a traditional ruler with deep knowledge of the bible and being in Israel was like coming to town with practically everything I had come across and I realize that everything in the bible is true and unique God is the Almighty God. it a huge improvement to my spiritual life and been the Elerinmo of Imowe where we have spiritually potent mountains this was like an opportunity to see another type of exposure within the Christian denomination. My visit has imparted my life positively, it is a glorious visit.
This is something I have been looking forward to for a long period of time and even since I was a young kid and it was a great experience coming across where Jesus had performed miracles for real, seeing the Sea of Galilee, the River Jordan etc, all those places is quite an experience and I give glory to God.
“Although my going to Israel was not to visit the government of the country, but with everything I saw, I can say categorically that government of that country cannot be compared with others as they are well organised, security is quite tight securing visitors, tourists are pampered, infrastructure facilities are world class.
” There is a lot that Nigeria have to learn, the new electoral law has taken care of some of them, we had in the past elections I will say also that the introduction of the BIVAS has gone a long way to curb election malpractices.
“Having gone to many other parts of the country, I realize that when an election is taking place people are allowed to continue their lifestyle there is no restrictions to movement as we have here in Nigeria. I hope that one day Nigeria will get to that point where people can move about without fear or anxiety during an election.
“The citizens must also accept that they need to be orderly all these cases of violence during electioneering need to be stopped we can’t continue like this, our lives are important, so I urge everyone to allow peace to reign , the peace of the country is very important. Kabiyesi further implored those eligible to exercise their civic duty by voting wisely and wait for the result of the election.
Oba Elerinmo also charged Nigerian youths to abstain from violence and learn from other country’s election process that is done without rift and violence adding that peace is important in a country.
