It was a joyous time for Origbo Community High School Old Student Association as its 1968-1972 set celebrated 50 years of leaving school in Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government area of Osun State.
In his welcome address, Chairman of the Re-Union Project, Elder Bolude Olatunde Ola, who thanked God for keeping them alive, said the old students had contributed in various remarkable ways to the development of their alma mater while the occasion was to enunciate their ceaseless passion for the school.
According to Elder Ola, the old students have already installed 24 units of solar powered illuminant within the school premises while they have also donated some text books to the school library for the use of the students and recognition of some teachers with token gifts just to mention a few.
The Chairman who used the medium to call for adequate cooperation of all other old sets of the aged college in taking the school to a greater heights among others in the state said it is achievable to join hands in lifting their alma mater up.
Elder Ola further appreciated and commended the committee that organised the well attended and colourful event for the old students, adding that efforts of Mrs Elizabeth Funke Adekunle, Sister Bose Adeniji-Igbekoyi, and Engr. Sis Grace Funsho Omitogun towards the success of the even cannot be overemphasised.
Also speaking, Mrs Bose Adeniji Igbekoyi and Mr Johnson Bamigbe Adetoro thanked the Almighty God and organisers of the programme saying there adequate joy and happiness to be together.
They added that giving back to the alma mater was to contribute and extends their hands of fellowshop towards the development.
