Osogbo Tennis Club (OTC) has conferred honorary membership on the Osun State Commissioner of Police,Mr Olawale Olokode, for his positive contributions to the security of the state
The ceremony which was held at the club premises, was led by the club’s President,Mr Adekunle Ogedengbe and other members of the executive.
Speaking at the occasion,Ambassador Adejare Bello who is also the club’s Chairman, Board of Trustees, described the Commissioner of Police as a dutiful security officer whose contributions to the state in the areas of security,had been significant since his assumption of office in the state.
To this end, Ambassador Bello who presented the certificate of honor to the CP on behalf of the club, said the honorary membership conferred on Mr Olokode, was deserving, advising him to continue to give his best for the betterment of the society.
Responding, the state Police helmsman while thanking the executive and members of the club for the honor bestowed on him, promised to always contribute his quota for the common good of all.
According to the honoree, the caliber of members of the club was encouraging, assuring that he would cultivate the habit of showing up at the club from time to time.
Among those that graced the occasion include Oluomo Sunday Akere, the former Osun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, executive and members of the club.
