Adekunle Sikiru Yakub popularly known as ABACUS (born December 10, 1988) is an Academic Staffer of Osun State Polytechnic Iree.

An Independent Professional Media Practitioner and a great tutor of both Print and Broadcast Options.

Adekunle Sikiru Yakub had his primary education at St. James Primary School, Owo-Ope Area, Osogbo, Osun State, 1998.

He proceeded to Anglican Commercial Grammar School, Kolabalogun, Osogbo, Osun State where he sat for WASC/NECO O’Level in 2004.

The young and good looking ABACUS was admitted into the Osun State Polytechnic Iree to study Mass Communication In both Ordinary National(ND)2010 and Higher National Diploma( HND) 2014.

As a fresh graduate in 2014, Adekunle Sikiru was privileged to work with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Ibadan Network centre) where he performed excellently as a Reporter, News Caster, and also anchored a Programme titled (GREAT MIND).

ABACUS has fondly called also briefly worked with the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation ( OSBC) Osogbo.

He got admission to study Mass Communication at the Fountain University, Osogbo Osun State for his (BS.C), where he graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in 2020.

Adekunle Sikiru Yakub (ABACUS) was the Vice President, Mass Communication Department, Osun State Polytechnic Iree in 2010.

His activeness and trustworthiness during his ND days made him to be massively elected during his HND Program as President, Mass Communication Department, Ospolyiree in 2014.

After his graduation in 2014, ABACUS was Privileged to join Mass Communication Alumni of his Alma Mata( MAOS) through the efforts of those he met in MAOS then, such as Messers Aderemi Adeagbo, Moshood Oladosu, Babatunde Ambaliyu, Gbenga Gbelee, Seun Ayo Ishola, Wale Pressman among other Progressive minded MAOS members.

Within the short time of his membership in MAOS, Adekunle Sikiru Yakub was appointed as State Publicity Secretary of MAOS. His wide experience as a professional Media Relation Man gave him additional opportunity to contest for the post of the NATIONAL PUBLICITY SECRETARY, MAOS in 2018 and his political ambition was granted by Almighty God and with the supports of MAOS Members.

As a graduate of Mass Communication, Adekunle Sikiru Yakub (ABACUS) is knowledgeable enough in maintaining and Sustaining Mutual relationship between organizations and general Publics.

He is the current Publicity Secretary, Ospolyiree Alumni Association (OSPAA, Osun State Chapter).

Adekunle Sikiru Yakub (ABACUS) is contesting for the post of National Publicity Secretary in the coming Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Alumni Association Election.
