The Rector Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Mr. Kehinde Alabi, has described the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as a symbol of hope, peace, love and reconciliation for humanity.
Mr Alabi in his goodwill message to the Polytechnic Community, especially the Christian fold in the Polytechnic, said “the death and resurrection of Christ should be embraced by us with love, peace and hope, because with His death, He has paid a ransom for us to be safe and live in peace and unity”
The Rector averred that the inherent values of purity, honesty, sincerity and love for humanity in the sacred blood of Jesus should be imbibed by Christians to live a better and peaceful life devoid of sins and iniquities that could serve as thorns in our flesh.
Mr Alabi urged Christians to use this period to pray for peace to reign in Nigeria.
He charged the people of Osun State not to relent in their prayers for the Governor of the State, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke in his transformation effort of the State, especially in the areas of road construction, education rejuvenation, health care delivery and human development, he noted that the governor’s approval of promotion into different cadres in the State civil service is a manifestation of his love for humanity.
Alabi also reiterated his commitment to improve the academic and moral values of the polytechnic, saying what we need is to be more united and prayerful to raise the Institution beyond the bar.
