As part of effort to actualize the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, as the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the next governorship election in Osun state, the leadership and members of AMBO Movement on Thursday took Oyebamiji’s gospel to the party stalwart, Chief Shuaibu Afolabi Oyedokun in Inisa, Odo-Otin Local Government Area.
AMBO Movement, led by the immediate past Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye humbly sought for Oyedokun’s nod and endorsement as the state approaches next governorship election.
This is even as Chief Oyedokun and Comrade Poju Odusola showered Oyebamiji prayers and beseeched God’s guidance and protection upon him.
Oyebamiji is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA.
The APC leaders on the AMBO Movement include: Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission, NPC, Dr. Amidu Tadese; Executive Director, Federal Housing Authority, FHA, Engr Remi Omowaiye; Executive Director, Engineering, Ogun/Osun River Basin Development Authority, Engr. Kayode Sowade; Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Protocol, Alhaji Issah Niniola and former Osun State House of Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye.

Speaking, Owoeye sought for Chief Oyedokun’s endorsement of Oyebamiji’s ambition listing many of his tremendous contributions and impacts at various positions he has occupied thus far.
He praised Chief Oyedokun for his elderly role in fostering unity, peace, cohesion and togetherness just as he demanded him to pray for Oyebamiji’s success in his journey to govern the state.
Speaking in turns, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Protocol Alhaji Issah Niniola; Chairman Egbedore LCDA, Hon. Akeem Ajao; Senior Special Assistant on Students Affairs and Social Mobilization, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji; former Director General Bureau of Social Service, Mr. Richard Tinubu; former member Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Tunde Olatunji and former Information Commissioner, Mrs. Egbemode urged Chief Oyedokun to endorse Oyebamiji’s political ambition.
In his remarks on behalf of Local Government Chairmen, Hon. Akeem Ajao extolled Oyebamiji’s virtues, describing him as the most competent, capable and suitable candidate to run on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the next governorship election in the state.
“There is no doubt in the fact that Oyebamiji is the most competent person that we need to field as a party at this critical time to run for the governorship election in 2026. He has demonstrated capacity and competence in all the positions he had held. Most importantly, he is Omoluabi par excellence”, he added.
Alhaji Issah Niniola, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Protocol, hailed Oyebamiji’s track records in both private and public sector, saying “he’s the best man for the job.”
He assured utmost support within and outside to ensure his emergence just as he appealed to the leadership of the party to consider him to bear the party’s flag in the next governorship election in the state.
Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji who spoke on behalf of the APC youths eulogized Oyebamiji’s rare virtues of loyalty, trustworthiness, resilience, transparency, accountability, probity, openness, due diligence, competence, expertise, doggedness, forthrightness and high sense of commitment and empathy to humanity.
He appealed to the party’s leaders to consider Oyebamiji who he described as the most suitable aspirant running for the governorship position in the party in Osun.
Richard Tinubu described Oyebamiji as the best man for the job, hinting that “Oyebamiji is an epitome of progressivism, loyalty, competence, experience and knowledge.
He added : “I am sure he’s the best man for the job. Once we bring out his profile for the world to see, certainly his immense contributions to human development and capacity building; dedication to core values; humility in conduct, honesty, patience, calmness and meek character will speak for him.”
Hon. Olatunji and Mrs. Egbemode appealed to party leadership to endorse Oyebamiji’s aspiration aimed to unseat Governor Adeleke.
“We seek your support because we quite understood that whatever you say has a very strong implication in the choice of our party candidate hence the profuse appeal to support Oyebamiji. He is indeed a man we can trust. He is capable and down-to-earth. We can handover the state in his hands.”
In his response, Chief Oyedokun thanked the delegation for the visit describing it as inspiring, stimulating and unifying.
“If I tell you not to talk about the person you brought to me, you will be thinking that I have ulterior motive. This is the very first time I will be sitting with him but before now, I have been seeing his hands.
“On what you came for, in the name of God we are begging him to show us the way to wrestle power from the PDP. I came to APC with a mind to be plained because I am not for materialistic things. The first thing I did was to ensure peace and I thank God that we have peace today. I have a Leader and my leader is Oyetola and once your request is discussed and ratified with Chief Akande you have my endorsement. If I have a singular power to endorsement your candidacy, I will do it now but you have tasked me now and I am ready to work on your request forthwith,” Oyedokun submitted.
