Benedict Alabi, former Deputy Governor of Osun State, has declared his intention to run for the 2026 governorship election, challenging incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Alabi made the pronuncement at a Catholic cathedral in Ile-Ife, citing divine guidance as his motivation.
He expressed confidence in emerging victorious, promising to work towards the state’s progress.
Alabi charged Catholics faithful to continue praying for the country.
According to him, Nigeria is the Jerusalem for Nigerians; I also want to encourage us as families come together for progress of our dear nation.
“After seeking guidance from God and receiving direction, I’m informing good people of the state that I’ll run for the 2026 governorship election and we’ll emerge victorious”.
