The Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Ife Central Local Government chapter, Prince Falabi Nurudeen has congratulated Hon. Abiola Awoyeye on his swearing-in as 8th Osun State House of Assembly member and Hon. Adewale Egbedun as the Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly.
Abiola, was on Tuesday swore-in as Assembly member representing Ife Central State constituency in the 8th Osun Assembly.
In a congratulatory letter he personally signed, Falabi said the swearing-in had further shown that he was the popular choice of his constituency for the assignment.
“Your glittering track record of public service, foresight and grit in developing your state constituency and your administrative skill, as well as the courage you continue to demonstrate in fighting for good governance, youth emancipation make you worthy of the high esteem and trust of local government and the party everywhere in your constituency .
“I am elated and have no doubt that with your credentials, experience, antecedents and political sagacity, you will provide dividends of democracy to the people of your state constituency through good legislation.
“Abiola had the capacity to provide the needed leadership that would consolidate on his constituency’s democratic gains”.
Falabi charged the people of Ife Central State constituency to continue supporting PDP government as the constituency moves to another legislative dispensation to treck path of greatness and well-being of the Ife Central state constituency and Osun State at large.
Also, Egbedun, a 38 year-old legislator was on Tuesday elected speaker by the Assembly members after the inauguration of the Assembly.
He is representing
Odo-Otin State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 8th session of the Osun State House of Assembly.
Falabi wishes the new speaker a successful tenure. He implored the newly-sworn-in members to work collaboratively with the speaker and executive arm of government to put the interests of the good people of Osun State who elected them, first.
The Assembly also elected Ife North Constituency member-elect, Akinyode Oyewusi as the Deputy Speaker of the House.
