Osun: Adeleke Lays Foundation For Hajj Camp

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has officially laid foundation for the construction of Hajj transit camp for the state pilgrims to ease their movement to Saudi Arabia

Adeleke disclosed that only Osun state does not have a camp for pilgrims among South West state.

According to him, “Why will it be only Osun State that does not have a camp for pilgrims. I pronounced on Sunday and we are here today to the glory of Allah laying the foundation.

“Since we have lay the foundation, work start immediately, so that they will be happy anytime they are going to Hajj, they will gather here relax before they embark and after the journey.

“I will assist the pilgrims amidst the high cost of things” the governor said.

Speaking, the Commissioner for home affairs, Rasheed Aderigbigbe said that Hajj camp is necessary to easy movement of Pilgrims and to accommodate them before they move to the airport.

Aderibigbe commended the Governor Ademola Adeleke for fulfilling another promise.

He said, “Let me state categorically, that Osun State remain the only State that has no Hajj transit Camp in the south west.

“The Governor promised that he would do everything possible to ensure the State has its own hajj camp. Hence today’s event Glory be to Allah for making it a reality.

“I am also grateful to our religious leaders under the headship of the Chief Imam of Osogbo who doubles as the grand Imam of Osun State, Sheik Musa Animasahun for their support to the government.

“I want to thank our Royal Fathers and indeed all the good people of sun State, particularly the Ummah for their support for this government and pray that God almighty grant the desires of hearts for peace and prosperity” he sais

The event was witnessed by the Deputy Governor, Kola Adewusi, Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, Chief Imam Of Osogbo, Sheikh Musa Animashaun, President, Osun Muslim Community, Sheikh Mustapha Olawuyi among many other Islamic clerics in the state.
