Operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested three men, Sodiq Oyedokun (21), Ojoko Ayomiposi (21), and Busari Ayomide (24), for stealing different Spare Parts of vehicles in Ode-Omu, Ayedaade, Osun State.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Osun Amotekun Corps, Yusuf Idowu Abass and made available to newsmen on Friday, in Osogbo, Osun State.
According to statement, “The suspects were arrested on Wednesday after willing to sold the items to one Mallam dealing with Scavagers business in Ode-Omu, while the scavenger man refused to buy the stolen items and he alerted Amotekun Operatives who sprung into action immediately and apprehended the suspects in the spot.
“The suspects confessed of stolen the items at a mechanic workshop in Akure, Ondo State and ran to Ode-Omu to sell the items before luck ran against them.
The Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Hon. Adekunle I Omoyele confirmed the arrest to Journalists in Osogbo, he asserted that Amotekun Operatives arrested the suspects who attempted to sell stolen items to a Mallam in Ode-Omu. The suspects had stolen the items from a mechanic’s workshop in Akure, Ondo State, and were caught after the Mallam alerted the Amotekun operatives.
During preliminary investigation, “The suspects confessed of stolen the items at a mechanic workshop owns by one Mr. Victor in Akure, Ondo State and ran to Ode-Omu in Osun State to sell the stolen items before luck ran against the felons,” Omoyele said.
The suspects have been transferred to the Amotekun Ondo State Command for further investigation and prosecution.
