The Secretary of legal committee to
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Osun State chapter, Barrister Hashim Abioye
has said that All Progressives Congress can hire one million of lawyers to challenge the victory of the Senator Ademola Adeleke in the just concluded Osun governorship election.

It would be recalled that the candidate of the People Democratic Party, Senator Adeleke was declared winner of the Saturday, July 16 gubernatorial election and received the certificate of return on Wednesday.

The legal practitioner and chieftain of the PDP disclosed this while featuring on Rave FM on Wednesday, said that his party (PDP) is not worry about the move of All Progressives Congress, (APC) to challenge the victory of their party at the election petition tribunal.

Abioye said that the victory of his party and its candidate Senator Ademola Adeleke has come to stand.

He said he knows Governor Gboyega Oyetola and his party will challenge the victory of the governor-elect.

According to him, “if Osun APC wants to hire 0ne million (1000,000) lawyers to challenge the victory of Senator Adeleke we are ready for them.

“We know quite well that in any contests, there will be winners, and there will be losers. Anyone who as lost an election has a right to go to the tribunal to test his case. We’re not worried at all. You have the right to set up a legal team that contains as many layers as you want. They can arrange a galaxy of lawyers.

“We (PDP) have many Senior Advocate respected senior advocates all over the country, and apart from those who are advocates will have many respected egghead legal icons in the country. he added

Recall that in 2018 governorship rerun election after Governor Oyetola was declared winner, the duo entered a legal battle to Supreme Court where the incumbent governor was vindicated.

It was reported that Governor Oyetola has allegedly penned down fifty lawyers to file litigation against Senator Adeleke and PDP’s July 16 victory.
