The Osun Progressives, (TOP) a Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rejoices with the Minister for Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on his award of Yoruba Personality of the year, 2021 conferred on him by Yoruba Heritage International Limited, today, September 30, 2021.
The chairman of the group, Adelowo Adebiyi described the award of the immediate past governor Aregbesola as a prestigious one in the Yoruba nation that he (Aregbesola) is well suited for the award.

“We congratulate the award presenters for making the right choice in Ogbeni Aregbesola; a round peg in a round hole.
“Aregbesola has been a great contributor to the Yoruba cultural growth and development long before and since he came to star on the social political scene of Yoruba and the entire Nigeria many years ago.
‘We recall that Aregbesola had been one of the leading champions of all reasonable steps towards the uplift of the Yoruba nation and its people.
“We also note that Aregbesola deliberately took the Oranmiyan name for his campaign to be Governor of Osun so as to have great development strides that came to Yoruba land in the time of the Yoruba legend.
“The awarded gives needed tactical support to efforts at unifying governmental developments through the formation of Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) in all the states in Yoruba land.
“It is on this note that Aregbesola made priority of creating a ministry of Regional Integration in furtherance of the fulfilment of the desired unification of development in the whole of Yoruba nation.
“We urge the awardee to continue on the path of identifying with the development of Yoruba land and wished him more of such honours.”he said
