The parliamentarians of Ife East Central
Local Council Development Area, Modakeke has suspended the leader of the House, Hon. Reuben Oluposi Sangodele over gross misconduct.

According to the resolution of the council lawmakers signed by 7 members of the parliamentarians on Tuesday, 16th June, 2020 obtained by thesource on Wednesday, passed vote of no confidence on Honorable Sangodele as the leader of the house during their sitting.

The embattled leader of the house was accused of colluded with the council chairman to siphon public funds, ordered him to return all the parliamentary properties in his possession within 72 hours.

The parliamentarians said the House Leader failed to call for a parliamentary sitting despite joint decision of the House.

Following the suspension of leader of the house the deputy would be acting whenever they have legislative sitting in the council.

“This is to inform you, that Parliament of the this local council held its meeting today Tuesday, 16th June, 2020 in the Parliament building presided by deputy leader of the house Hon Oyewole Oyelakin, the house in their resolution hereby passed vote of no confidence on you as a leader of the house due to the following reason.

“Negligence of the constitutional duty as a leader of the house parliament to call for meeting of parliament.

“Shielding the Chairman of the local council on sensitive issues that affecting local community.

“Others related matter detrimental to development of the community and defacing the good image of the council.

“The members of the Parliament of Ife East Central LCDA, Modakeke hereby suspend you, Hon Sango R. Oluposi as the leader of the parliamentary pending the resolution of the House of Assembly, Osun State as detailed in the new guidelines released by the House of Assembly Osun State recently.
