The Osun State command has confirmed that the command did not place EndSars protesters leaders on wanted list following an assassination attempt on Governor Gboyega Oyetola while addressing the EndSars protesters on Saturday.
Recall, the Governor Oyetola was attacked by political thugs while identifying with youths who were engaging in legitimate protest against the alleged brutality of the now disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The Police Public Relation Officer, ASP Yemi Opalola disclosed this while feature of private radio on Monday, said the command have been interfacing with the leaders of the protesters on how to maintained peace in the State.
Opalola further said the police has commenced the investigation on the attack on Governor Oyetola and his aides, adding that the culprit will brought to book.
Reacting on the vow of the protesters to returning to the street, She said the police we not stop protesters because is it their right.
Earlier, one of the EndSars protesters leader in Osun Comrade Ayo Ologun vowed to return to street, saying their demands have not be met by the government.
Ologun said”I will meet with other Comrade today to decide when to resume”
