The former deputy governor of Osun State, Mr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, has ventured into the abattoir business in his hometown of Ikire, Osun State.

He expressed his passion for agricultural businesses and emphasized the importance of providing hygienic and safe meat for the community.

His farm, KIRE INTEGRATED FARMS AND MARKETS LIMITED, located in Ikire, aims to reduce unemployment and increase the state’s internal generated revenue (IGR).

Mr. Alabi is pleased with the positive impact of his business, which has provided employment for about one hundred youths and aims to uplift his community.

He explained that his decision to invest in Osun State instead of Lagos was driven by his desire to contribute to his hometown and empower its residents. Mr. Alabi also disclosed that he sold his house in Lagos to raise funds for the mechanized abattoir and milk production factory. He emphasized the importance of giving back to his community and expressed his commitment to supporting the local economy.

Additionally, Mr. Alabi highlighted the positive impact of his business on reducing unemployment and strengthening the relationship between herders and farmers. He mentioned the provision of a private feed mill for cattle and emphasized the company’s contribution to poverty reduction and economic development in the state.

After serving as deputy governor from 2018 to 2022, Mr. Alabi now focuses on managing his abattoir business and providing significant employment opportunities in Osun State. His long-term goal is to establish mechanized abattoirs and milk factories in all the local government areas of the state.
