As part of his unwavering commitment to promoting standard education and empowering young minds, Representative Bamidele Salam, a member representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State in the National Assembly, has announced the commencement of free holiday classes for secondary school students during the 2024 summer holidays from August 19 to September 13, 2024.

The Lawmaker made the announcement in a press statement signed by his Media Assistant, Joshua Afolabi and made available to the newsmen in Osun on 14th August 2024.

The classes, focusing on English Language, Mathematics, Civic Education, and Computer Literacy, aim to engage students meaningfully and promote quality education.

This initiative is part of Rep. Salam’s E4 Educational Programme, which has impacted over 15,000 students in the last five years.

This year’s programme is in partnership with Federation of Edeland Students’ Union (FELSU), Federation of Egbedore Local Government Students’ Association (FELGSA), and Ejigbo Local Government Area Students’ Association (ELGASA) and is open to SS1-SS3 students.

The classes will be held simultaneously in 12 centers across the 4 Local Government Areas in the Federal Constituency, with at least 100 students and 4 competent teachers in each centre.

A unified Mock Examination will be conducted at the end of the lessons to assess the learners, and the best students will receive various gifts and fantastic prizes.

Only students with at least 75% class attendance will be allowed to participate in the Mock Examination.

Rep. Salam emphasized that education remains the most powerful weapon to change the world and encouraged students to strive for excellence.
