Spokesperson to Osun State Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, has been inducted as a fellow of The Fourth-Estate Professional Society of Nigeria.
The induction took place on Thursday at Nulge House, Olorunda Local Government, Osogbo, Osun State.
According to Chairman, Fourth-Estate Professional Society, Osun State Council, Dr Adedapo Owolabi, the induction is in recognition of the contributions of Mallam Olawale Rasheed to the Media profession in Osun state and his long years of experience in the field of journalism.
Speaking at the Induction ceremony, Mallam Olawale Rasheed who was represented by a Media Aide to the Governor, Sola Isola expressed gratitude to the FPS Osun while pledging support to the growth of the council.
He said, “I am happy to be here today and I thank you for this kind gesture. I want to therefore pledge my support to growth of this council.
“I also want to urge us to focus on professionalism, training and mentoring, so that we can be sure that we building a legacy that will last for long.”
Speaking earlier, The National President of the Fourth -Estate Professional Society,Dr Babatunde Salami noted that Osun State has so far presented the highest number of members for induction in the history of FPS in Nigeria as it presented seventy-nine members for its fifth induction.
Explaining the benefits derivable from membership of the society, the FPS President said apart from access to international workshops and seminars, the society ,which he said is affiliated to the society of practising journalists in the United States has a year free life insurance policy for every financial member.
