The Osun Progressives ,TOP, a group within the ruling party in the State All Progressives Congress ,APC, has said the state of affairs of the party in Osun its structure is now weak cum its leadership seems overwhelmed with management.

This was disclosed by former chairman of Action Congress of Nigeria , ACN, now All Progressives Congress, APC, Reverend Lowo Adebiyi during a press conference on Tuesday held at the Oranmiyan House, Osogbo.

He said the people confronted with frustration over lack of good management of party affairs by its state leadership.

Adebiyi who is also the chairman of The Osun Progressives ,TOP, a caucus within the ruling party in the state dismissed notion going round within APC members in the state that TOP was created to divide APC in Osun.

He said TOP was never a splinter group as tagged saying it is a “genuinely concerned party patriots wishing to have a progressive platform in the party” adding that TOP exists to correct the observed anomaly in APC.”

The APC chieftain who lamented the state of affairs of his party in Osun said its structure is now weak cum its leadership seems overwhelmed with its management.

According to him “There are no regular meetings at whatever level, where opinions, views and ideas could be aggregated while members are fragmented with unsynthesized outlooks party ideas.

“It is clear now that Osun APC is being run arbitrarily with the rule of thumb and dictatorial tendencies of the party leadership has put several members off, to the extent of their becoming nonchalant towards the party.”

The ex-Osun APC chairman who stressed his fear on the party loosing power to Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, called for cohesion and commitment to party ideals.

Speaking on the current situation of Osun APC, Adelowo said “This regrettable, was the pattern with the AD before it lost power in the state to PDP which sent the state to darkness for more than seven years.

“That tragedy and affliction must be avoided by all means, hence the emergency of TOP” he noted.

Expressing his surprise over the involvement of Agba Osun on tagging TOP as splinter group said it is laughable and repugnant to good reasoning that Agba Osun; a caucus of hand-picked group of people, unknown to APC statutes.

He added that instead of Agba Osun to interrogate the problems with Osun APC and find solution to such problems arrogated power of suspension to itself.

He ,therefore, emphasized that TOP creation was not to weaken Osun APC but to strengthen it, he also called on member of the ruling party willing to join them saying TOP objectives are clear and its motives are pure.
