The executive secretary of the agency,

He stated this on Wednesday at the contractual sensitization on the health insurance scheme for Osun West Senatorial District, held in Iwo, saying that the agency was established to create qualitative access to health for every individual in the state without financial stress.

He noted that over 225,000 residents of the state have been enrolled under the Osun Health Insurance Scheme.

Oginni who was represented by the director of the programme for Osun Health Insurance Scheme, Pharmacist Sumonnu Olasunkanmi explained that they have covered over 72,000 vulnerable residents of the state, adding that about 90,000 people have been captured in the formal sector and 20,000 people in informal sector.

He, however, commended the Osun state government under the watch of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for providing a favorable environment for the scheme to strive for the benefit of the residents.

Oginni said that the effort of Governor Oyetola on the programme has scored the state higher than others state in Nigeria.

“The mandate of the agency is to cover everybody sleeping or living in Osun states within a period,” he said

In his address the CEO of Pace Communications, Prince Olusola Ajiboye lauded the present administration under the leadership of Governor Oyetola for taking people’s health as a priority in his government.

Ajiboye commended the governor for constructing health facilities in all the local government areas of the state for easy access to the health sector.

He charged all residents of the state to make use of the advantage of the Osun Health Insurance scheme to register with all members of their family with a meager amount of money.
