The Immediate past Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, has affirmed the readiness of the people of the state to vote enmasse for the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the February 25 general elections.
Oyetola, who stated this during the visit by members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Media and Publicity Directorate, Osun Chapter, stressed that Tinubu is the candidate to beat as he’s a shinning light to all the six geopolitical zones of the country.
Oyetola, who was in company of the former Deputy Governor of the State, Mr. Benedict Alabi and Secretary of the Osun State APC PCC Secretary; Hon. Sunday Akere, while receiving the committee, noted that judging from his antecedents in governance, policy reforms that have positively shaped Nigeria, his overall achievements cannot be over emphasized.
“Osun people is ready to vote in Asiwaju come February 25th, 2023, he said. “He remains the candidate to beat going by his overwhelming acceptance across the nooks and crannies of the country.
“Tinubu has successfully contributed immensely to the success Nigeria has recorded in history and he deserves to be voted in to do more. I can assure all and sundry that the people of Osun are ready to give their massive support, ” Oyetola said.
Oyetola, while addressing the members of the PCC, Media and Publicity Directorate, appreciated the efforts put in place by the National Directorate, headed by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, to promote the Asiwaju/Shettima candidacy in the State and pledged his unflinching support towards the execution of the directorate’s assignments for the success of the elections.
“I have been briefed on the efforts put in place by your directorate to promote the Asiwaju/Shettima candidacy in the state and I appreciate you all, please do not relent, continue to do more and I pledge to support you all the way.”
Mr Abimbola Tooki, chairman, Osun State PCC, media and publicity directorate, while briefing the former governor of its mandate, said the committe has designed aggressive plans to take Asiwaju’s campaign to every part of the state including all the wards and polling units.
Tooki disclosed that the committee has put in place arrangements to translate all the presidenitial campaign materials to six local languages including Oyo, Ife, Ijesha, Igbomina, Hausa and pidgin/igbo as part of efforts to communicate and engage effectively with the people of the state.
He expressed the committee’s readiness to work with all the party structures in the state to achieve maximum success in the February election.
Took extolled the Governor on many of his giant strides recorded in the state during his administration and stated that Oyetola will surely reclaim his mandate.
He also thanked Oyetola for his assured support towards the directorate and promised that members are already charged to work round the clock, considering the limited timeframe to achieve its mandate.
In the chairman’s entourage are members of the directorate; Mrs Mabel-Aderonke Adedayo, Mr Yinka Diamond, Dr. Olawale Tijani, Mr Olayemi Olawale, Barrister Kunle Oyatomi and Mr Joseph Akanbi.
