A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Sola Oni JP, ‘Oni of Africa’, has welcomed the Appeal Court’s validation of the mandate of PDP-elected chairmen and councilors across the 30 local governments in the state.
Pioneer Member of the Osun State House of Assembly and Former State Secretary the ruling party, in a statement signed on Friday, Oni expressed gratitude to the people of Osun State for their faith in the party.
According to former lawmaker, “Lovers of democracy now have cause to celebrate the victory already proclaimed by the Lord of Mercy through the Court of Law in favour of Osun State People’s Democratic Party as lead by Hon. Sunday Bisi on the validity of the last local government election.
“The uneasy calm and fair in the camp of the opposition have been reinforced by the spread of instruments of development across the state by Asiwaju Jackson Ademola Adeleke Executive Governor of Osun State, causing political defaulters in the of name of opposition to be dancing nakedly in the open market.
“God has won the battle for us and we shall continue to celebrate the good people of Osun state for sharing their faith with our great party.
“Glory be to the Lord as our local government council chairmen and councilors now have renewed legal justification to Resume duty,no surender: no retreat: no widrawer: The party is our life.”
