The retired Director in charge of Administration, Training and Supply in Osun State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Alhaji Kareem Buraimoh, has been described as as an administrative unifyer and a commendable team player who was completely sold out to the progress of the Commission during his tenure in office.
This commendation was given by the LGSC Chairman, Elder Tunde Adedeji at a retirement ceremony organized by the Commission to mark the exit of Alhaji Buraimoh after 32years of meritorious service.
The Director,who bowed out of service having attained the mandatory retirement age of 60, was also eulogized as being selfless and absolutely humane in his dealings with the management and the entire staff of the Commission.
In his testimony about the retired Director, the Commissioner 1 in the Agency, Hon.Isaac Aboge went emotional in a rhetorical question, “who will not love this man with a loving soul and sterling qualities?” Among the inherent qualities which Aboge counseled others to tap from Alhaji Buraimoh were respect and loyalty to the authority as well as addiction to staff welfare.
The Commissioner 2 in the Establishment who was evidently overwhelmed with mind buggling testimonies about the goodness of the nevew retiree, Alhaji Sule Aremu, compulsively, busted into an Islamic song, prodding him to “continue with being good”, advancing that nobody toes the path of doing good without being amply rewarded.”
Commissioner Aremu was confident in his intrinsic prayer that the retirement will precipitate renewed glory, promotion ,joy and peace for the celebrator
In his remarks,the Coordinating Director in the Commission,Barr. Lekan Babalola stated that Alhaji Buraimoh is an enigma,a personality without pretense,whose humility is natural.
While alluding to his civility in his relationship with all and sundry, Barr.Lekan Babalola posited that,”Civility does not cost anybody anything,but can secure the entire world for whosoever is civil.”
In his goodwill message,the State President of NULGE, Comrade Nathaniel Ogungbangbe disclosed that he had been hearing good reports about the retiring Director even before he was privileged to know him personally.While acknowledging that Alhaji Buraimoh had not deviated from the good report for which he is renowned, Ogungbangbe prayed that,”this retirement will be a promotion for Alhaji.”
The officiating Muslim Cleric, Ustaz Musbahudeen Orimadegun, in his message,was very emphatic about the principle of sowing and reaping,saying,”What a man sows is what he is bound to reap.”, adding that there is no way to circumvent the law. Orimadegun also posited that,” The greatest form of immortalization for anybody is to write his/her life in the heart of men like the celebrator.
In his response, Alhaji Buraimoh, who was visibly elated appreciated the organizers of the programme for what he termed,” the first elaborate ceremony in my lifetime.”
While acknowledging that only God is perfect,he apologized to those he must have offended in the course of service, adding it was due to exigencies of the time .He also took time to recount his near death experiences in service,and consequently appreciated God for his saving grace and mercy and for helping him thus far.He then promised to rededicate his life to the service of God and humanity.
Highlight of the ceremony were tear-provoking testimonies given by the rank and file of staff members about the goodness of the celebrator.
The programme was laced with drumming, singing and dancing, with the celebrator, his wife and family members leading the dance to all departments in the Commission.
Among those who graced the occasion were the LGSC Board Members, Messers Olatunji Ademola, Segun Adekanbi and Ojo Olaniyi David, as well as Directors and officers from the Public Service Office.
