All former and present students including the entire staff of Orimolade Commercial Grammar School, Ikirun in Ifelodun local government area of Osun State have been called to come together in unity.
According to the Interim National President of the Orimolade Alumni Group, Mr. Kazeem Oladosu and the book Committee Chairman, Oladipupo Tajudeen Tunde in a press statement issued to highlight the activities of the Book Launch titled “The School On Solid Rock”, for any organization to progress, unity is an essential tool which calls for the old students around and in the diaspora to come together and foster unity amongst members.
The Alumni Group who commended the Governor Gboyega Oyetola led administration’s efforts in developing education sectors said, the government alone cannot meet the social and economic needs of the people, hence the need for individual and corporate collaborates in addressing infrastructure deficit in various communities.
While speaking about the book, the leadership of the Orimolade Alumni Group said, ” the book tells the unending story of OCGSI since it was founded to celebrate 43rd year of her existence which comes up on April 16, 2022.
The ceremony which is expected to commence at the premises of Orimolade Commercial Grammar School, Ikirun at 10am, would witness the attendance of the Osun State governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola and his deputy, Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi as guest of honours.
Other dignitaries are the Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Senator Surajudern Ajibola Basiru, the Chief Executive Officer, New Energy Services Company Limited (NESSCO) as well as President of the Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Alhaji Usman Mohammed among others.
