Following the withdrawn from election Osun State Polytechnic Association Alumni, (OSPAA) Hon. Abidemi Gbenga Ogunkanmi has been described as an Epitome Of Omoluiabi.

Onigbinde Moses, the chairman of Political Permutation group supporting Ogunkanmi, in a statement signed Saturday, commennded the supporters who stood by them till minutes.

According him,”We of the Ogunkanmi Political Permutation Group (OPPG) do not regret the fact that our principal Hon. Abidemi Gbenga Ogunkanmi withdrawal from the race to contest for the apex leadership position of the Osun State Polytechnic Alumni Association in the just concluded election, as the outcome of the election shows to us that we are well prepared for the election and our mobilization ability was fantastic which turn a challenge to some contestant and caucuses

“We projected many votes to win the elections and we successfully mobilized 566 votes which indicate that if not for the desperation of some elements who went ahead to enlist the support of ex-campus paramilitary officers, hoodlums, and cultists for the election, our Principal would have been declared winner in the election with 179 votes.

“However, we should note that if our 566 voters and the 387 voters who voted for Mr. Yakub Akeem Adebayo are at the convention ground, the venue will have been overcrowded, which would have led to delays in verification exercises by the electoral body

“We are convinced to say that such delay will have technically disenfranchise some voters, ignite crisis because some are already battle set and also subject our fellow Alumnus who will be traveling out of the state to risk on the Nigerian road

“We also appreciated some of us who believe in the ideal of Hon. Abidemi Gbenga Ogunkanmi and cast votes for him even when the news went around on social media that our principal as withdrawn from the race

“We are glad to have supported a true Omoluabi who will never subject the life of any individual or loyalist to risk and we encourage all members of our association to emulate Hon. Abidemi Gbenga Ogunkanmi, an epitome of an Omoluibi who understands that his victory does not worth hurting anybody.” He said
