Osun Poly: NANS Calls For Reverser Of  N10,000 Late Registration Fees Imposed On Students

National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS Zone D of South West has called on Osun State polytechnic, Iree, management as a matter of urgency immediately refers N10,000 late registration fees that was imposed on the students, who were yet to complete their tuition fees.

learnt that the school authority on 11 January, 2021 announced payment of the late registration fees on students of the institution who are yet to pay up their 2019/2020 academic session fees.

Speaking, NANS Zone D Public Relation Officer, Comrade Olatunji Nurudeen appealed to the school management to cancel the late registration fee as matter of urgency.

Comrade Nurudeen said that the students were not happy with the new development, stressing that the authority in charge should leave up to the tax before it goes out of hand.

According to him, as part of three C of struggle Consultation, Consolidation and Confrontation we have taken step one and we still going to meet with the Rector again to state reason the management need to refer N10,000 late registration.

Urging the Osun poly Portal manager to make all his possible best to ensure that the late registration refer.

Speaking, the Students Union Government, SUG, President of the institution, Comrade Raji Kehinde said his leadership has taken several effort to make sure that the late registration payment is reversed. for the betterment of the students.

Comrade Kehinde further said that his SUG led-leadership they have met with several top officials of the school management to ensure that the late registration payment of N10,000 is canceled .

Similarly, Coordinator of Committee for Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, Ospoly campus , Comrade Tajudeen Wasiu described the late registration fees as unwanted burden on students and their parents.

He said at this period when Covid-19 has affected economy of the country which many parents are just coming back from the hardship, introducing the late registration payment will become disadvantage, evil to them.

Comrade Wasiu argued the school management to consider parents in its decision.

Speaking, Students Union President, Comrade Raji Kehinde said the Union is taking every possible effort to make sure the the late registration refer for the betterment of the students.

Comrade Kehinde further said that they have made several meeting with the top of the management to cancel the last registration.
