Protesters in their hundreds have taken to the streets of Osogbo, the state capital of Osun to protest against brutality and extortion of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on Nigerian youths, calling for the immediate scrapping of the Force unit.

The protesters who stormed the popular Olaiya junction, Oja Oba, Old garage, among others, held different placards with various inscriptions such as “Youths are Nigeria future, Stop killing people we are not animals, EndSars now among others.

The protesters who are majorly youths , succeeded in grounding popular Olaiya junction for about 40 minutes after which they proceeded to State Government Secretariat, Abere where vehicular movement was obstructed for more than thirty minutes.

The EndSars Now protesters called on Inspector General of Police IGP, Mohammed Adamu to proscribed SARS of reform the police unit.

One of the concern Youths, Gbenga Olaleye said it is high time for youths to put stop the brutality of security personnel that are on different occasions killed Nigerians.

Olayele said, SARS should be in charge of protecting peoples life and prosperity not attacking innocent Nigerians.

He maintained that they are in support of government to end internet fraud in the society, saying there is way of curbing the immoral of internet fraud without killing people.

According to him, SARS was established to stop menace in our society. Its better they reform them or end it now.

“If government don’t do anything about this brutality of SARS we will continue to protest because we have brighter future ahead of us” he said.
