The Executive Chairman, Isokan South LCDA, Ikoyi, Hon (Prince) Wasiu Oyetunji Oyelami has mourned the death of a reknown political leader and former Chairman, Isokan Local Government Area of Osun State, Alhaji Azeez Akinleye.
According to Hon Oyelami in his condolence message issued and made available to newsmen on Saturday, Alhaji Akinleye who was until his death an elder of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Isokan Local Government and Osun State as a whole was a good grassroot politician, strong loyalist of the APC and a philanthropist.
The Executive Chairman, Isokan South LCDA, Ikoyi, who described the death of Alhaji Akinleye as a monumental loss not only to the council area, but Osun State and Nigeria, said the deceased fought the fight towards the upliftment and betterment of all and sundry who met him.
“May Allah gives the Ikoyi community, entire council area and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant the deceased eternal rest.
“Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return.
“May his soul RIP and may God Almighty forgives his shortcomings”, the Chairman concluded.
