He described Owoeye as an astute politician and a seasoned legislator whose impacts in the advancement of the cause of good legislation, responsible and responsive representation cannot be quantified.

Oyetola thanked the lawmaker for always displaying high sense of understanding, competence and capacity in the discharge of his constitutional responsibilities which has helped to keep all the members of the House together in peace and unity regardless of their political affiliations.

The Governor further said: “On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Osun, I congratulate our very own, Hon. Timothy Owoeye, Speaker Osun House of Assembly on the occasion of his 50th birthday anniversary.

“It is on record that your avowed commitment to the growth and development of our dear State can never be over-emphasised as attested to in the quality of people-oriented legislations the House under your leadership has been able to churn out in the past few years.

“We are pleased by your leadership quality and legislative prowess which have culminated to the existing unity, peace and cohesion among the members of the legislative arm regardless their political affiliations.

“We are indeed proud of you for serving as a rally point in building and strengthening mutual understanding, cooperation and support between the executive and legislative arms since your emergence as the Speaker of the 7th Assembly.

“We therefore pray Almighty God to grant you long life and prosperity as you continue to render quality and selfless service to the people of the State in general and your constituents in particular.”
