A philantropist, Mr Ebenezer Fashogbon has Constructed 0.0025 kilometer road in Ile-Ife as part of his contributions to the society and urban renewal agenda of the Sound State government.
Governor Adeleke, who was represented by his Commissioner for Education, Hon. Adedipo Eluwole, at the Commissioning of the road at Parakin , Obalufe Area, in Ile-Ife.
He commended the donor, Mr Ebenezer Fashogbon for his good gestures to the people of his community as well as entire Ile-Ife residents.
According to him, the present administration is a lover of progress, that’s why different projects are being embarked on across the state to ensure that life is bearable for all and sundry.
“The Ile-Ife ongoing flyover that supposed to end at Ogbingbin area, now extended to Ojafe side which is going to be dualised with street lights.
“This type of personal development should continue to compliment the government efforts so as to live a good life.
Also, Sen Babajide Omoworare, former Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters, said that masses need to contribute their quota to the progress and development of their town.
Omoworare added that a tree cannot make a forest likewise government alone cannot satisfy Nigerians, but need to contribute little they can afford.
“Our people that are using vehicles and motorcycles would plying conveniently, for their cars would not get damage consistently and the cost of expenses on their vehicles would reduce”, he expressed.
He admonished stakeholders and other philanthropists to emulate the donor for citizens to enjoy dividends of democracy,
Also, the donour of the road project, Mr Ebenezer Fashogbon, appreciated God and commended the landlord and Landlady, Obalufe of Ifeland, Sen. Babajide Omoworare and other personalities present.
Fashogbon lauded his wife, Mrs Ndidi Fashogbon who urged him to build the house in his home town and construct road for everyone to enjoy.
The Australian Based, pledged to encourage others in the diaspora to come home to jointly develop their father’s land.
The Obalufe of Ifeland, Oba Idowu Adediwura, applauded the donor and his wife for their kind gesture on their contribution to their community.
Obalufe therefore called on other citizens in diaspora to emulate Fashogbon in assisting Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeye Ogunwusi and the government to ensure that people enjoy from their wealth.
Engr.Olawale Atoyebi, who handled the road construction, told newsmen that the road is 0.0025 kilometers and guaranteed the durability of the road.
Atoyebi stated further that all the materials used were made to their specification and it’s 100 per cent quality.
In the same vein, the facilitator of the road project, Barr Rotimi Adeyenuwo, thanked God, the donour and Ife indigenes at large for the turnout and for the success of the project.
Adeyenuwo enjoined individuals, groups, stakeholders and philanthropists in Nigeria and overseas to try all they could to support the growth and development.
“Despite the fact that Fashogbon is not a politician and have stayed in Australia for the past 34 years, through the word of encouragement of his wife came back home to do a great exploit.
