Osun State Police Command on Wednesday arrested a 22-year-old, Olatunji Damilola popularly known as Damoshe suspect for armed robbery and unlawful possession of firearm in Osogbo.
The police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola said that the arrest of the suspect led to the recovery of 4 pump action guns, three cut to size barrel gun, one locally made pistol, one jack knife, ten cutlasses and thirty three live cartridges of ammunition.
Opalola further said that efforts are on to apprehend other suspect(s) in connection with the case.
She noted that the suspect will be charge to court after the investigation.
According to spokesperson, on 18/05/2024 at about 1430HRS upon information received that some group of individuals engaged themselves in physical brawl along Balogun Agoro Junction Osogbo, a team of operatives from the Police Response Unit (PRU) swung into action and were able to apprehend the suspect one Olatunji Damilola ‘M’ Aged 22yrs A.K.A Damoshe.
“Upon interrogation and investigation, he led the police operatives to their armory.
“I am using this medium to implore every to give prompt and credible information/reports to the police always.
Report every strange movement and strange people around you.
People should not be going around with unregistered vehicles or covered number plates.
“Further more, the Police Command frowns against jungle justice ie Motor Accident at Ode-Omu,” she added.
