Osun State Police Command has charged a 32-year-old man, Olabode Owoeye also known as Bode Itaapa to a Federal High Court at the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) Abuja.
The suspect was arrested and paraded by the Osun state Police command recently for various offences, including armed robbery, unlawful possession of prohibited firearms, and murder.
The case, with charge number FHC/ABJ/CR/323/2024, was transferred to Abuja at the request of the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
According to the State Command’s Spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, said that the Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Umar Abba is dedicated to making Osun State a safe haven for all.
“The Osun State Police Command is using this medium to update the members of the public especially the good people of Osun State that, the arrested suspect, one Olabode Owoeye a.k.a. Bode Itaapa has been charged to court at the Federal High Court, Abuja with charge
“It would be recalled that, Olabode Owoeye a.k.a Bode Itaapa was one of the suspects arrested and paraded recently by the Osun State Police Command at Police Headquarters, Osogbo for various offences before the case was transferred to Abuja as requested/directed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Umar Abba, psc is committed to ensure the safety and security of all residents as the Police Command is working tirelessly to apprehend and prosecute anyone involve in heinous crimes in the State in order to make Osun State a sanctuary,” the statement added
