The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the list of 10,000 successful applicants for recruitment into the Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force.

The Commission approved the list after receiving the report of the Police Recruitment Board on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024.

Out of the 10,000 successful candidates, 9,000 were approved for General Duty, while 1,000 were recruited for the Specialists cadre.

The Commission ensured equity in the spread of successful candidates across the 774 local government areas of the country, with 10 candidates selected from each local government area.

The recruitment process was guided by merit, gender sensitivity, and federal character, with a total of 609,886 applications received and 416,323 applicants shortlisted for the second stage of the exercise.

The selection process involved physical and document screening, Computer Based Tests (CBT), and medical screening.

The Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Solomon Arase, retired Inspector General of Police, stated that the rigorous recruitment process was designed to enhance the capacity and effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force and reinforce its commitment to community-rooted and service-oriented policing.

Successful candidates can check the status of their application on the Police Service Commission dedicated webpage or contact the PSC recruitment help desk on WhatsApp numbers 08094767777 and 09031318499 for complaints or inquiries.
