A Professor, Agriculture Economics, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Prof. Adebusola Adepoju has has called on every woman to be more supportive of their husbands to reduce their burden and increase their lifespan.
Prof Adepoju disclosed this on Saturday at the Public Presentation of her book, titled “The Sacrifices of Exceptional Fathers” held in Osogbo, Osun State Capital.
She noted that women’s support can have a significant positive impact on husbands’ well-being and improve their mental health.
According to Prof., “Having a home, building a home should not rest only on the Father. Everything should not be shouldered by the fathers. Because these days, if the women will wake up and be able to help the men as well because of what they are, it will go a long way to remove the stress that we put on the fathers, it will help to celebrate their efforts.
“And when this come into being, we can be sure that mentally men will be okay, rather than putting all the pressure on the father which can impact them negatively…We want to make them feel if I have all the stress to pass through, I have to provide for the kids, provide for the home, provide for the upbringing, take care of the wife, education, the health wise, if they have to think of all those things it may become a very big task.
Speaking of book launched, she said hhe book is built on the foundation of real-life experiences shared by contributors, making them invaluable resources for prospective mothers, fathers, and grandparents.
“The stories, lessons, and insights captured in these book offer practical wisdom that can shape and enrich the journey to parenthood.
“While I was writing the book, I got to discover that many men these days are willing to be part of the growing of your children, are willing to be involved and because of this, this book is good for those who are women, so that they will understand the sacrifices of their husband as well as those who are intending to be fathers, they will know, these are the things fathers pursue, and they will see the light in it that these days you don’t have to be rigid, you don’t have to be traditional.
In their separate remarks, Oba (Dr) Michael Odonayo Ajayi Arowotawaya II, the Elerinmo of Erinmo Kingdom, and Oba Ademola Kolawole Arinloye, Ghadewolu I, the Owajigbo of Ejigbo Orangun, Ila Orangun, said that ‘The Sacrifices of Exceptional Fathers’ book provides insight into the sacrifices fathers make in raising their children.
