The Rauf Aregbesola Flagship Pry-Healthcare Centre, received a boost as Region 5 of District 404B1, International Association of Lions Clubs donated million naira worth of medical equipment to the hospital.
The District’s Governor, Rasheed Ologundudu, shortly after the official handling over the equipment, told newsmen the gesture was part of the humanitarian services of the organisation.
“We are members of International Association of Lions Clubs, best known to be larger group of humanitarian service providers across the globe. Our primary assignment is to use our 3Ts – Time, Talents and Treasures to render assistance to less-privileges. We are here today to donate these little to Rauf Aregbesola Primary Healthcare Centre to compliment the efforts of Lagos State Government in providing the best health care services the needy,” he added.
The donated equipment included Digital thermometer, Digital, weighing scale paediatric, Digital weighing scale adult, Stadiometer, Digital sphygmomanometers, Tape rules, Sonicaids, Big sponge holding forceps, Episiotomy scissors, Cord scissors and Mosquitoes artery forceps.
Speaking at the venue, the Region 5 Chairperson, Lion Kayode Ojo, said the project was to honoured the District Governor as he has commenced visitation to all the regions under his watch.
Receiving on behalf of the hospital, the Head of Pharmacy, Mrs Agbeniyi Olufunmilayo, thanked the Lions Clubs members for the gesture. She promised that equipment will be used judiciously.
