We have carefully read with dismay the purported statements credited to minute section of Iree Community in Boripe North L.C.D.A disassociating self from an MOU.
To put the record straight, in the old Boripe , every Community had been privileged to produce Council chairman except Aagba which had been denied the opportunity to produce one.
Following the demise of late Bola Adejumo who represented Ororuwo in the caretaker committee in the year 2017 and later voted as substantive council chairman, the party and the government then decided that power should return to Ororuwo based on equity and fairness, hence the arrangement to produce Chairman from the smallest Community This prevented Aagba and her candidate then Hon. Joseph to assume the office as the substantive Chairman. As a result of this, Hon. Idowu Ismaila was picked from Ororuwo to continue as the council chair.
One will have expected Iree Community at that material time to kick against such decision if they had not been a party to such an arrangement so why now that they have one of their sons as a local Government Commissioner in the state who is believe to be highly influential in the present government? This claims of theirs could be tantamount to nothing but a deceit.
Equally, Iree Community had produce a State Assembly Member for good eight years and Commissioner for good eight years. During the regime of former Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Hon. Osuoale Bello who hails from Iree represented Boripe/Boluwaduro state constituency and Engineer Kasem was appointed commissioner for works.
It will be unfair for Iree Community to now claim that they have been marginalised having enjoyed the large heart of the then Government.
Currently, the following political positions domiciled in Iree Community:
1, Commissioner for local Government and chieftaincy affairs….Hon. Adelake Adebayo.
2, Hon. Kehinde Alasalatu…..SSA to the Governor on Students Affairs.
3, Mr Dumoye …. Boripe local Government APC Chairman.
4, Hon. Tunde Folorunso…..Deputy Leader of the parliament.
5, Hon. Rafiu …. Member Boripe L.G.A
6, Hon. Sunday Fabunmi….. Secretary, Boripe North L.C.D.A.
7, L.C. D. A Headquarter.
Besides, Iree Community is at the vintage of development when compared to other neighbouring Communities……The community has two banks, a polytechnic e.t.c.
The Community has even boosted of her population which has never transformed to victory for All Progressive Congress. It will be recalled that APC gallantly lost to PDP in Iree Community during 2018 Gubernatorial election in the state.
For equity and fairness, iree Community can’t produce a local Government Chairman with a commissioner and other political appointees while they still retain the L.C.D.D headquarter. If given such opportunity, it will be counterproductive
