I am writing in response to the above essay by one Mr Wale Alabi that was shared on my timeline by a friend who has been following the Uniosun numerous dance of shame in deceits, academic rascality and administrative hooliganism.
The timeless Bible in the book of Proverb chapter 26 verses 4 and 5 says:
4 ¶ Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own eyes [NKJV]
I would not have had any reason to write this rejoinder since I am not a fool if the Bible had stopped its admonition in-relation to responding to a fool as read in verse 4. But, the Bible, knowing the foolishness of the fool in thinking it has silenced the voice of truth and reason, decided to give the wise a room to play a fool along the side of the fool to reveal its foolishness to it and the whole world. In fine, I am covered in playing this game of foolishness with Mr Wale Alabi. After all, every thought works by its contrary in what is the dialectics of meaning and meaning generation.
Now, let me not act like the Shakespearean idiot who was said to have told a tale full of sound and fury like Mr Wale Alabi in the essay in reference, a tale with no facts and figures, but fabricated lies, sentiments, useless emotions and playing to the gallery. Shakespeare, in his wisdom, said such tales as told by idiots signify nothing! I must also not play like Shakespeare’s reported poor player, one who when he had the stage to showcase his talent, only fret, and was heard no more! I want to be heard over and over, even when I have left this stage, as a fighter of truth and justice. Thus, I will deal in facts and figures against the sponsored lies of Mr Wale Alabi. Let us go…
Paragraph 1 of Mr Wale Alabi claimed that ‘Osun State University is becoming a model among its peers…’ Hmmm, indeed it is becoming a model of a rogue administrator who, in the open, commanded the University security to strip a Student naked. The student was stripped naked under the supervision of our ‘model Vice-Chancellor’ of a modelling Uniosun… The said student had come for clearance when he was accosted by the Vice-Chancellor who accused him of improper dressing. And, all ‘our-model-of-a-Vice-Chancellor’ could do was to order and supervise the stripping of the young man to his boxer in the open…
The students who protested this barbaric act of the Vice-Chancellor were threatened and forcefully silenced…
In the same paragraph 1 of the said essay by Mr Wale Alabi, he seems to referring to me as ‘one of the rogues and a morally bereft dismissed staff of the institution.’ According to him, my crime was not just his imaginary or hallucinatory immoral crime, but of ‘making mockery of the integrity of various decent elders who volunteered to serve the university.’ He went ahead to also claim the ‘said writer was dismissed after being captured pants down on tape trying to have sex with a student.’ Let us deal with what he claimed one after the other scientifically:
Mr Wale Alabi’s claim of rogues is nebulous in relation to Uniosun Staff and Unions. When you claim somebody is a rogue, you are bond to give scientific or empirical evidence against him or her. When I claimed that the Uniosun Management is rascally, I gave evidences. Even, here above, I have given evidence against the rascality of the Vice-Chancellor who commanded a student to be stripped to his boxer. In my two essays that Mr Wale Alabi claimed to be responding to, I gave clear evidences against the administrative rascality of the Mr Vice-Chancellor. I mentioned the name of one Mr Adewuni of audit unit of the University who was suspended indefinitely for making a post on NASU closed WhatSApp page. I claimed there was no petition against him, no investigation, he was just suspended by the Almighty Emperor. I gave the example of the Vice Chairperson of ASUU who the Management has held his salary, saying he should go and get clearance from the Nigeria Police for a non-existing crime. I said there are other staffs in the same category. One of such staff is one Mrs Stella whose salary has also been held by management who expects her to equally produce a police report for no crime… Logically, one would have expected Mr Wale Alabi’s rejoinder to my essays to discredit my claims as false, but he did not do that… Of course, I must admit that to write a logical presentation is not, as my people will say, ‘mo-in-mo-in!’
I remember I equally claimed in my essays that 19 of the 25 members of JAC that were charged to court by the Mr Vice-Chancellor had been discharged and acquitted last week Friday in ‘no-case-submission’ against the useless allegation of the University. Yet, Mr Wale Alabi, against the reality of that landmark ruling against the administrative rascality of the Vice-Chancellor still found it convenient to label such men and women as rogues, men and women that a court of competent jurisdiction had cleared. Actually, I must admit that, for Mr Wale Alabi to have agreed to lauder the image of the Emperor against the truth and the reality of the LAW in the case against JAC already betray his sallowness and stomach activism! I guess, he is one of those my Mum will call ‘tifun loran!’
Mr Wale Alabi spoke about ‘the integrity of various decent elders’… I am sure, we would run to ethical challenges in defining ‘the integrity of various decent elders’, nevertheless, there are universal parameters by which we may agree on the meaning of integrity and decency. One of such is truthfulness. A man of integrity must be truthful. He must stand always on the part of rules, laws and justice. I remember that in my essays, I quoted the Yoruba Omoluabi essence philosophy on true elders that ‘Agba kii wa l’oja, ko’ri Omo titun o wo!’ I queried the role of elders that sat watching the head of the Uniosun infant titled to twisting point until last week Friday judgement against the Uniosun Emperor… I will not go into the meaning of what is decent here, for that is a value judgement and we each have our values. Nevertheless, as I have said, truthfulness is key and fundamental to decency for me. Thus, if a man keeps silent in the face of injustice and tranny, is he a decent man for not shouting and protesting against such? I will leave the answer here to the judgement of those reading this piece…
However, it is against the backdrop of being truthful and standing for the truth and justice that I will now proceed to address the Uniosun sex scandal that you seems to be alluding to… I must acknowledge again here that it is disheartening when a self-confessed public ‘opinion writer’ and ‘activist’ like you is very lazy in reading, for the result would not be different from making false claims in the name of knowledge. For, if you are not a pathologically lazy man, you would definitely have been abreast of the developments in the matter upon which you seek to stamp your deceit as a gospel truth! But then, I must equally acknowledge that you also identified yourself as a ‘politician’ and I should admit that that gives you the latitude to swim and navigate in falsehood without any dialectical reflectivity… It is a shame anyway, but that is what politics and politicians seem to represent all over the world…
Now, of the last I know in that matter, it is before a competent court of law. Uniosun filed a PO in the case, it was thrown out. The Judge asked them to respond to the substantive case. The case is at the hearing stage. The complainant had entered the witness box… the defendants are afraid of showing their faces, in fact, none of the ten defendants in the case has shown his or her face in the court to date, only their lawyers… They have refused to call their witnesses, always asking for adjournment to bring them… And, now, their lawyers are already making a move for an out-of-court settlement… Yet, you are here to rant and express total ignorance. It is a shame. I think whoever appointed you as SSA should just sack you for academic and mental laziness…if all you can do is feed him and the government with falsehood…
Let us put some record straight here: Sir, I put it to you that the crime of the members of JAC against your Emperor was that they wrote a petition against him for financial impropriety. I put it to you that he was investigated by the Council and was found guilty. I put it to you that the Council for whatever reason, which may be linked to issues like the 68/9 million naira car for its Chairman by the culprit, decided to step down the report that indicted your Emperor. I put it to you that not satisfied with the decision of the Council, JAC petitioned the EFCC on the matter and that the case is still before the EFCC! I put it to you that Management and some people mounted pressure on JAC to withdraw the petition pending before the EFCC… I put it to you that the refusal of JAC to withdraw the petition is part of the crimes of JAC for which your Emperor in-financial-impropriety-holiness is victimising and persecuting them…
Let me stop here for now… I don’t want to continue in the foolishness of responding to a fool, for everyman or any man who thinks he or she can proclaim falsehood and deceits as the truth is a fool…
