The Nigerian Twitter space has gone agog after claims by Funke Akindele’s stepson, Benito, that his father, Abdulrasheed Bello, and the actress cheat on each other and they are in an open relationship.

In recent times Benito and his mother, Mella, have made some allegations about the actress and her husband over several issues. However, in a recent Instagram live video shared via Benito’s page on Friday, he revealed that the actress and his father, JJC Skillz’s marriage is in crisis.

Benito alleged that his father cheated on Funke which led to a big fight. He also revealed that the actress also cheated on his father.

“They are not really together. They both cheat on each other, and they both had a fight. My dad is practically living somewhere else.

“I don’t even have any care for them no more. I can’t talk for them as a couple anymore. I can only say what I have seen. They are in an open relationship,” Benito claimed.(sic)

His revelation has led to some tweeps airing their opinion on the situation as the actress is currently trending at the number 9 spot on the Nigerian Twitter space.

A Twitter user with the handle, @Theifedayo, while giving his two cents on the matter wrote, “This rubbish that Funke Akindele’s stepson is doing on Instagram is one of the reasons why I would never support any of my family to marry a man that has children and ex-wife.”

In a Twitter thread, the user of the microblogging site, Sir David Onyemaizu with the handle @SirDavidBent, stated that he feels the actress is mostly targeted because she is very disciplined.

“People have always complained about the way Funke Akindele treats those who work for her. It is always easy for people to murmur and throw tantrums whenever a boss is too disciplined. Funke strikes me as someone who is very disciplined. Perhaps, she takes it a little far,” the Twitter user opined.

Also, @Tee_Classiquem1 simply queried if there is a gang up against the actress who she believes has used her platform to uplift up and coming stars.

The Twitter user wrote, “Why is everyone accusing Funke Akindele of treating her workers badly? I mean I’ve seen her use her platform to bring people like Toyo baby, Kiki, James, Adaku, Timini and others to the limelight, is this a form of gang-up against her or is there something really don’t know?”
