…Call on Osun Govt. for urgent intervention
Residents of Ife-Odan in Ejigbo local government area of Osun State have lamented over bad conditions of the major roads in the community.
They called on the state government under the watch of Governor Ademola Adeleke to urgently help to fix and rehabilitate the roads for commuter.
They said that all important roads which link to the major towns like Oyo, Iwo, Ogbomosho, Iwo Ate- Ajaawa axis of Oyo state and some others link to various farm settlements were in terrible condition.

Speaking, one of the resident who identified himself as Temilade Odedele said that the two of the three constructed roads in the entire community were constructed during the period of former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Late Governor Adebayo Alao Akala of Osun and Oyo respectively.
He explained that the roads from Iwo-Obamoro-Ikonifin-Ifeodan road constructed by Osun government and Ifeodan-Lagbedu road by Oyo government then, saying the two major roads are in dilapidated condition and have turned to death trap for commuters who ply on them.
Odedele expressed his dissatisfaction and concerns over the poor condition of the roads in the town which he said it have caused a major setback to the development of the town.

He also lamented unaccessible roads to various farms which he said has caused serious havoc to the farming in the areas.
A chief in the community, Chief Oladepo Ajao, the Abogunde of Ife-Odan said “lack of motorable roads, especially during the rainy season, has caused a lot of hardships to the residents”.
The Chief described the town as the largest producer of yams, maize, palm oils and some other crops in the of Osun and Oyo states.
He urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to come to their rescue from the transportation mess and road brouhaha.
He also called on successful sons and daughters to come to their aid.
Similarly, Mr. Ogunrinde Dare said, recent efforts to fix parts of the roads were merely an afterthought, there is need for an holistic approach to save citizens of the community.
“When there is heavy downpour harrowing experience of traffic congestion happens due to flooding occasion by bad spots” he said.
