Residents of Ileogbo and Oluponna in Ayedire Local Government Area of Osun State have commended the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke for inaugurating four motorized boreholes in their communities.
Inaugurating the micro projects completed by government through Osun Community and Social Development Agency (Osun CSDA), at Oke Odo, Ebu Alawe, Ire-Akari and Alafiatayo communities in Oluponna and Ileogbo, Governor Adeleke assured the residents that the present administration has more projects in store for their communities.
Adeleke represented by the Commission for the Commissioner for Community and Rural Development, Hon.Gani Olaoluwa, who commissioned the micro projects on behalf of the governor
pledged to continue delivering more dividends of democracy to the people.
In their separate remarks, Olu of Ileogbo, Oba Habeeb Agbaje, and the Olupo of Oluponna, Oba AbdulRaheem Gbamgboye, praised the governor’s commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Osun State and promised to continue supporting his administration.
The monarchs said the projects are expected to bring significant relief to the residents, who had been facing water scarcity challenges.
“Governor Adeleke’s administration is a testament to the positive impact of the motorized boreholes on the communities. The boreholes would alleviate the suffering of our subjects, who had been struggling to access clean water.” They said.
Addressing the beneficiaries of the motorized borehole projects, the General Manager of the Osun Community and Social Development Agency (Osun-CSDA) Mrs Funmi Abokede, applauded Governor Adeleke for his unwavering support to the agency and his unrelenting love for the people of Osun State.
Abokede commended Adeleke’s administration for its commitment to improving the lives of the citizens.
She noted that the governor’s prompt release of funds had made it possible for the agency to complete the projects, which would have a significant impact on the communities.
However, Mr. Anthony Owolabi, Chairman of the Ileogbo Unity Forum (IUF), praised Governor Adeleke for considering their community worthy of water project.
According to Owolabi, collective support can help bridge the gap and make a significant difference in the lives of those in need. I want to appeal to well meaning citizens to support the less privileged underscores the need for collective responsibility in addressing societal challenges.
Also, speaking former Caretaker chairman in Ayedire Local government, Hon. Solomon Ogunbiyi, said that the motorized borehole projects will solve the long time problem in the community.
Speaking on behalf of the resident of Alafiatayo community in Oluponna Bola Adebayo expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the governor for the project.
She noted that despite having many wells in the area, the water was not drinkable, and the community had been struggling to access clean water.
Adebayo stated that the motorized borehole has brought relief to the community, saving them from the stress of searching for drinkable water.
