Despite the hike in prices of foodstuffs and commodities in the country, Ridwaanullahi Mosque in Osogbo, Osun State, has provided daily iftaar and welfare packages for over 70 people of various ages and categories throughout the Ramadan period.

The mosque’s project, tagged “1446 Ramadan Everyday Iftaar and Welfare Packages,” has been providing daily food, beverages, and monetary donations to needy fasting families.

According to the Imam of the mosque, Surv. Abdullateef ADETOYE, the initiative aims to relieve the burden of the economic hardship on vulnerable families during the holy month.

Imam Adetoye emphasized the importance of assisting the vulnerable and feeding the hungry, citing the example of Hammad bin Abi Sulaiman who provided iftaar for people in Ramadan.

He said over seventy people have benefitted from this 1446 Ramadan.

He urged wealthy people to support the MOSQUE in all her charitable activities by donating generously to the mosque’s Sterling Bank account number: 0504894218 or join the team who regularly donate to the mosque project account (Sterling bank 0503642508)

and madrasah (Sterling bank 0504894177)
development. Those who wish to pay Zakat can as well transfer it to the mosque’s Sterling bank account above.

He assured donors of judicious use of their donations with fear of Allah as the Mosque is the haven for the present and future generations.

He admonished people to always assist the vulnerable and feed the hungry in their various communities. He cited case of one of the pious predecessors Hammad bin Abi Sulaiman (RahimahuLlahu Ta’ãlã) who used to provide ifṭār for five hundred people in Ramaḍān, and would give each of them one hundred dirham after ‘Eed. Contemporary Muslims should emulate this generous practice.

According to the mosque’s Imam, Surv. Abdullateef Adetoye, the project has been made possible through the generous donations of wealthy individuals and organizations. He urged others to support the mosque’s charitable activities by donating to their Sterling Bank account.
