Manchester United on Friday revealed that the club have initiated steps to their forward Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent explosive interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
Man United disclosed this in a statement via its website.
Ronaldo had hit out at Manchester United and their manager Erik ten Hag, during an interview with Morgan.
The 37-year-old said the Red Devils had betrayed him and that he does not respect Ten Hag.
The statement read, “Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview.
“We will not be making further comments until this process reaches its conclusion.”
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is currently in camp with the Portugal national team at this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
