Mr Goronyo, who said this on Thursday in Sokoto at a stakeholders’ meeting, urged the members to work tirelessly towards ensuring the victory of the party at the forthcoming polls.

“We should resist any form of intimidation from anybody, the inconclusive elections are part of the struggle to protect our people and our state.

“Therefore, we must stand firm in protecting our people’s mandate to the end,“ he said.

Mr Goronyo appreciated the good people of the state for their sustained support to PDP and the leadership of the state.

Also speaking, Sagir Bafarawa, the PDP deputy governorship candidate, urged the supporters to be vigilant during the elections.

He said: ”Every member should remain an agent to his vote during the elections and be vigilant in ensuring the BVAS machines start counting from zero.”

The Deputy Governor, Munir Dan’iya, urged the members to intensify consultations to mobilise more votes for the party.

Mr Dan’iya, who is the PDP candidate for the Sokoto North senatorial seat said: “This is the time that we meet our supporters and convince them on the present struggle to save our state.”

On his part, Yusuf Suleiman, the Director-General of the State’s Campaign Council urged PDP members in the state to take measures to ensure victory for the party at the polls.

Mr Suleiman, a former Minister of Youths and Sports urged: “We should all work to ensure our people’s mandate truly prevail.”

Also, Mukhtari Shagari, a chieftain of PDP in the state and former Minister of Water Resources, urged the members to open all doors that would attract more supporters to the party.
