The National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, on Sunday met with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Former governor of Lagos state met with Buhari at the Presidential Villa on Sunday.
Tinubu speaking to newsmen after the meeting said the purpose of his visit was not political but to welcome Buhari from his trip to Saudi Arabia where he went for lesser hajj.
The former Lagos governor said he also thanked the President for visiting him in London after his medical procedure.
Tinubu said: “The visit was only to thank the president, first of all, for his visit to my residence in London after the surgery and wishing me well, lifting my spirit and indeed what an exceptional leader will do to collaborate.
“So that is what I came for and to welcome him back from the trip from Saudi.
“No politics involved, just a courtesy call to thank him in a big way, that’s all.”
Recall that Buhari had visited Tinubu in London after a knee surgery.
