A polical group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) Tinubu Victory Group, TVG Osun State chapter, has condemned the attemp assassination on Governor Gboyega Oyetola and his aides by suspected hoodlums during his address to EndSars protesters on Saturday.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the group chairman, Ganiyu Gbadamosi, on Monday in Osogbo, Osun State capital, said the attack on Governor and his entourage is a disrespectful to the law of the state.
“All the political thugs and their sponsored should know attack on Governor Oyetola is a total disrespectful to our dear state that has been known for peace and virtue in Nigeria” Gbadamosi said
He called on commissioner of police, Udie Adie to investigate the attack on the governor and ensure that culprits were brought to book in no distant time.
He however, commended the youths for organizing a peaceful protest before it was hijacked by the hoodlums.
According to him, “We appeal to all Nigerians and especially our youths to allow dialogue with the government for peace to reign. The government will work towards the demands of EndSars protest.
“We can only know the beginning of war nobody can say when it will end and who will survive it. Let us shun all activities that can lead to civil war”. he said
