Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes has joined Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi as the only player to register at least 50 goals and assists across competitions since January 2020.
Fernandes achieved the feat after setting up Man United teammate Marcel Sabitzer for his opener against Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League, UEL, quarterfinal first-leg 2-2 draw on Thursday.
The Portugal international joined Man United in January 2020.
He has been an integral part of the Red Devils’ starting squad since his arrival from Sporting CP.
The 28-year-old has now registered 50 assists in all competitions for Man United while scoring 60 times.
However, Fernandes will not feature for Manchester United when they face Sevilla in the second leg of their Europa League quarterfinals.
Fernandes picked up a booking in the first-half after a shot from Nemanja Gudelj hit his arm from point-blank range.
