In a bid to foster stronger ties between the academia and traditional institutions, the Provost of the College of Education, Osun State University, Professor Florence Adeoti Yusuf led her management team on a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Akintola Imran Ayodeji, the Alua of Erin-Oke, Ilufemiloye 1
The visit, which took place was aimed at soliciting the monarch’s support for the growth and development of the College. The Provost and her team were warmly received by Oba Akintola, who commended their efforts in advancing education in the state.
In his remarks, His Royal Majesty pledged his commitment to contributing to the progress of the College, emphasizing the importance of community participation in uplifting educational institutions within his domain.
According to him “‘Education is the bedrock of societal development, and it is our collective responsibility to support institutions like the College of Education to thrive,’ Oba Akintola stated.”
However, the College Management also expressed deep appreciation to another revered royal father, His Royal Majesty, Oba Agunbiade Oke, the Ajalaye of Ipetu-Ijesa, for his unwavering support for the institution.
The team acknowledged Oba Agunbiade’s promise to mobilize the sons and daughters of Ipetu-Ijesa to contribute meaningfully to the College’s advancement.
