Days after Carlos Alcaraz and Venus Williams played pickleball together at an event held at the Lotte New York Palace, the Spaniard partnered with Iga Swiatek for the US Open Kids Day held on Arthur Ashe. Noticing how fast Carlitos moved away from their partnerships, Venus Williams joked.
“I got replaced so fast…!” Venus wrote on Instagram. Alcaraz answered: “@venuswilliams i thought we were at pickleball.” Here is a video of Venus Williams and Carlos Alcaraz playing pickleball together.
Ons Jabeur, Andrey Rublev, Tommy Paul, and Holger Rune also showed their pickleball skills at the pickleball event.
When it comes to pickleball, Venus Williams has nothing against it.
“Pickleball is growing and I’m happy to see folks with any kind of racquet in their hand,” Venus said in 2022. After her retirement from tennis, we may see Venus starting a career in pickleball.
