The Alapomu of Apomu Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi, revealed his support for Honourable Lanre Oladebo, the House of Representatives member representing Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal constituency during the 2023 general election.
A viral video circulating on social media shows the monarch urging supporters to back Honorable Lanre Oladebo, the representative of Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal constituency.
According to a monarch who spoke in Yoruba at a program in his domain, “there is a secret I want to reveal to you PDP members, because we don’t know who would be the candidate for the opposition party in the next election.
“If the opposition present a strong candidate it will affect our party, I always tell people that we don’t usually value what will have at hand not until we lost it, no matter how we should always value what we have at hand.
“I want to urge you to continue to support Honorable Lanre. A day before his election, Akogun and his team came to my Palace and told that me that I have been defeated. And when I asked them that by who, he told me that by Honorable Oluga and said if that is the case, then, the contest is no more between Lanre and Oluga but it’s between Alapomu of Apomu and Olufi of Gbongan. Meanwhile, we all know that Alapom is a father to Olufi of Gbongan.
“You cannot know all these facts because even the meeting I held with Mao, Mao himself can never reveal everything to you. I told him that I don’t mind if this election can lead to war, nobody can quarry King but God.
“I told him whatever that it may cause I strongly behind him he should go and destabilize everything, our party member must emerge even if it require “Ta ta ta ta toto”.
