The presidential candidate for People’s Democratic party, (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has pledged not to fail nigerians, if elected as the President in the next year general election.

Atiku stated this on Wednesday at the PDP Maga rally held at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park Osogbo, Osun state capital, said the PDP have the experience to govern Nigeria unlike All Progressives Congress, (APC).

He said that his party is blessed with people that have capacity to bring changes to the country.

Former Vice President urged the electorate in Osun state to troop out in number to vote for all the candidates of PDP in general election the way they did during the Osun governorship election in the state for their party.

According to him, “You are a wonderful people for returning PDP to power in the last state election and I believe by returning PDP to Power you will strengthen this authority by voting PDP in the next general elections. Because a federal government controlled by PDP in a state government controlled by PDP Osun state is to the greater good of Osun people.

“Our only objective is to make sure that the current challenges of insecurity, disunity, economic deprivation, lack of jobs or young men and woman and that of course the future of this country through a restructuring can be achieved.

“It means empowering Osun state with more resources in authority to do what need to be done, what need to be done is to provide infrastructure needed for development, investing in education, healthcare and bring about industrialization for the secondmic benefit of the people of Osun.

“We promise you, we will not fail you. We are not like APC because we have done it before, we got the experience. We are not new as far as governance is concerned in Nigeria.” he said

In his address, the governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke described Atiku Abubakar as the most competent Presidential candidates who can take the country out of present situation.

Adeleke said that Nigeria need someone like Atiku who can stabilize the economy of the country at this period.

He stressed that Atiki will govern Nigeria with rule of law and due process.

According to him, “The experience of PDP presidential candidate is so enormous, when he served the country as the Vice President, he was the one that stabilize the economy, he made it to grow, we need someone like him to steer the affairs of the country.

“Emergence of Atiku will unsettle evil in this country because he has the fear of God. I have been speaking to him on the issue of security and he promises to find a lasting solution to the challenges. He will end kidnapping.” he added
